Of course Its been a month since I’ve last updated about anything. Well, that’s because it was the holidays! So hopefully everyone had a great holiday and fed themselves excessively, as I did. Yikes, new year, time to get into shape… well at least curb my current lifestyle. The main motivation behind getting in shape (other than the fact I need to,) is that we’re headed to Cuba! Just temporarily of course! Two short weeks and I’ll be on the beach slamming cocktails and beers like no man’s business!
So that’ll be the start to my February, I’m slowly getting super excited!
So… on that… game making thing… I haven’t touched it for a while. I’ll be honest, it’s definitely in the cards in the near future, just been a crazy start to the year. Especially since I’ve been out of province working all month, ugh. I promise work will re-commence! It’s even open right now on my computer!
I’ve also thought of opening more sections on to this blog with a lot of different topics as a lot of what I write and want to write about aren’t necessarily about game development. Don’t hold your breath!
Anyways, new shit coming soon! Hint… name of the site may be changing soon too!

It’s been a busy holiday season and being a bit busy with everything going on, I delayed a bit with working on Traders. I’m finally back in the saddle working on it again. Nothing much to report on it yet, but I’m working on getting a few things to work back to the way they should.
This will be out before 2016 rolls around, I promise. I’m fairly certain it will not take the entire 12 months either.

After a quick little siesta in America (you know, USofA), I went back to Catan. I’ve been plugging away figuring everything out again as to how the engine was modelled. I like the way the I made it, just … forgot. It’s really interesting to know it’s a lot smoother than working with the earlier version that I had made nearly a year ago now. Everything runs a lot smoother now and basically all I’m really doing is converting the older code into the new framework. It’s a tedious process but I don’t have to re-invent the wheel thankfully!
I’d post a new screenshot, but really, its mainly all back-end work that has been done so far. Of course the game shows the hexes and the chat screen, but, it really doesn’t really do too much. I’m excited for this to come again. It’ll be a nice replacement for Asobrain since that doesn’t allow for new registrations (queue sad face).
More to come I’m sure!
